IMS was born as a chemical-pharmaceutical commercial company in 1973 by Salvatore Marangoni, its founder.
In 1980 it received authorization from the Ministry of Health and in 1986 it completed the expansion of the plant from 5 to 8 boxes.
In 1988 the company focused its activity exclusively on the treatment of powders, especially the pharmaceutical micronised.
The story runs fast and in a short time IMS becomes a point of reference in the pharmaceutical sector.
Currently IMS is regularly inspected by the Italian Medicines Agency (AIFA) and by the Food and Drug Administration.
The growth of the Milanese company is constant and has led to an expansion of the warehouse in 2015 and the creation of an 11th box dedicated to steroids in 2016.
In 2018, on the occasion of the 45th anniversary of the company, Dr. Elena Marangoni, daughter of the founder, opened the doors to the public to celebrate the anniversary.
The “Fabbriche Aperte” event was a great success with over two hundred visitors who came to the facility to celebrate and visit the plant.
The history of IMS continues looking to the future and to new challenges, with the construction of a new and innovative plant which will be ready shortly.
Excellence in pharmaceutical micronization is a family passion.
From the founder until today with Elena Marangoni, we have put our professionalism at the service of customers and our commitment to the continuity of the company.
We have gone through various economic crises, austerity and lock-downs and today we are proud to have arrived, with the second generation, at the fiftieth anniversary and proud to be chosen every day as partners by the most important companies.
We focus on skills to live up to our tradition and alongside our customers.
Our processes are ”tailor made” and are the sum and synthesis of our personalities: Professionalism, quality of results, respect for deadlines, safety.
The success of IMS Srl comes from commitment, work, dedication and obviously from the human component, the real driving force behind research and development.
